Unsearchable Greatness
Psalm 145:1–7
“Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable.”

David promises to bless the King every day and forever. Praise reaches beyond a passing mood because God’s worth does not rise and fall with our circumstances.
The Lord’s greatness is unsearchable. We may know Him truly because He reveals Himself, yet we can never reach the boundary of who He is or exhaust the wonder of any attribute.
This is not ignorance disguised as devotion. Scripture gives real names, deeds, and promises; mystery means the reality revealed is greater than the mind receiving it.
One generation commends God’s works to another. Because no single life can contain His praise, testimony becomes an inheritance carried across time.
Meditation lingers over glorious splendor and wondrous works. Praise deepens when attention slows enough to notice rather than reducing worship to hurried adjectives.
God’s awesome acts and abundant goodness belong together. His power is never detached from His holy character, and His greatness never becomes arbitrary force.
Christ makes the unknowable God known without making Him manageable. In the face of the Son, infinite glory bends near enough to behold and follow.
Let wonder expand rather than demand mastery. Name what God has revealed, tell His works to someone after you, and rejoice that eternity will never exhaust His beauty.

Tozer described God’s infinitude as freedom from every created limit. Nothing can measure, contain, increase, or diminish the fullness of who God is.
Psalm 145 turns that doctrine into generational praise. The unsearchable God is not unknowable; His revealed greatness invites inexhaustible wonder.
A Prayer
Holy God,
Infinite King, forgive how readily I reduce You to the measure of my understanding.
Give me truthful knowledge joined to reverent wonder. Slow my attention before Your works and make my praise worthy of Your goodness.
Let my generation commend Your greatness to the next, and show me Your glory in the face of Jesus Christ. Amen.
