Behold, the Dwelling of God
Revelation 21:1–7
“Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them.”

The journey that began by becoming still before God ends with a loud voice from the throne: ‘Behold, the dwelling of God is with humanity.’ Presence is not a passing theme but the destination of redemption.
John sees a new heaven and new earth, not creation discarded but creation renewed. The holy city descends from God, prepared as a bride for her husband.
God comes to dwell with His people. The biblical story moves from Eden lost, through tabernacle and temple, to Christ dwelling among us and finally to unhindered communion forever.
‘They shall be His people, and God Himself will be with them.’ Every nation gathered in the Lamb becomes one reconciled people without erasing the rich particularity God redeems.
God wipes every tear from their eyes. Death, sorrow, crying, and pain pass away—not because they were imaginary, but because the reigning God makes all things new.
The One upon the throne declares the promise trustworthy and true. Christian hope is not built upon wishful longing; it rests upon the character and authority of God.
To the thirsty He gives freely from the spring of the water of life. The final invitation still sounds like grace: receive from God what no creature can purchase.
Behold. The holy presence you have practiced noticing will one day fill every horizon. Until then, live awake to God, worship through every season, and walk toward the home where faith becomes everlasting communion.

Tozer urged believers to awaken to the God who is already present rather than living as practical exiles from Him. That call has accompanied this volume without replacing Scripture’s authority.
Revelation 21 brings the longing to its biblical fulfillment. God’s people do not merely become better at awareness; God renews creation, removes every barrier, and dwells with them forever through the victory of Christ.
A Prayer
Holy God,
God who makes all things new, thank You that Your presence is the beginning, center, and promised end of redemption.
Keep me awake to You while death, sorrow, crying, and pain remain. Let future hope make present worship steadfast and present love courageous.
Give living water to every thirsty place in me, and bring Your people home to unhindered communion with You. Amen.
