Entrust It to Faithful People
2 Timothy 2:1–7
“Commit these to faithful people who will be able to teach others also.”
2 Timothy 2:1–7 (NKJV)
Paul tells Timothy first to be strong in the grace of Christ. The work of transmission begins with received strength, not personal force.
The gospel passes through generations of trust: Paul, Timothy, faithful people, and others they will teach.
Truth is not entrusted only to the most impressive, but to people whose fidelity makes them able to carry it responsibly.
The soldier, athlete, and farmer each reveal patient focus, integrity, and labor before visible fruit.
Persecution often removes leaders and institutions, making reproducible discipleship essential to the church’s endurance.
Every believer should be formed deeply enough to pray, read Scripture, explain hope, and help another follow Jesus.
Entrusting requires relationship, example, correction, and confidence. Content alone cannot replace shared life.
Ask what grace has placed in your care and who might receive it. Faithful witness plans for a gospel future beyond one lifetime.

Wurmbrand described underground churches surviving through believers who quietly taught, remembered, gathered, and prepared others.
Paul reveals this multiplication as ordinary Christian strategy: grace strengthens one disciple to entrust truth to another, who will carry it farther.
A Prayer
Lord Jesus,
God of every generation, strengthen me in the grace of Christ.
Make me faithful with what I have received and show me whom I can encourage and teach.
Preserve Your gospel through humble relationships until others yet unseen hear and follow. Amen.
