Follow the Lamb
Revelation 14:1–5
“These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes.”

The year ends where discipleship has always been centered: not upon the strength of the followers, but upon the Lamb standing victorious on Mount Zion.
The Lamb bears the history of sacrifice and the authority of resurrection. Jesus conquers by giving Himself, and His people are marked by belonging to Him and to His Father.
They follow wherever He goes. The call that first reached fishermen beside their nets now stretches through hidden prayer, fellowship, mission, suffering, and worship before the throne.
Their song is new because redemption creates a people the old world could not produce. It is learned through grace—a life received from the Lamb and offered back in praise.
Truth is in their mouths. Following Jesus has joined confession and conduct, making witness more than words while keeping words faithful to Him.
Blamelessness does not mean these followers never needed mercy. They were redeemed. Their purity is the Lamb’s achievement and the Spirit’s transforming work brought to completion.
Every lesson of the narrow way converges here: surrender becomes freedom, hidden faithfulness becomes public witness, community becomes a foretaste of the kingdom, and suffering yields to life.
The journey is not truly finished. Fix your eyes on the Lamb and take the next step. Wherever He leads, His redeemed people follow—and He will bring them home.

Bonhoeffer concluded his account of discipleship with believers being formed into the image of the incarnate, crucified, and risen Christ. The call aims at a life that increasingly bears His likeness.
Revelation gives that formation its final horizon: a redeemed people gathered around the Lamb, truthful in witness and secure in His victory. The One followed along the narrow way is also its destination.
A Prayer
Lord Jesus,
Lamb of God, You called, redeemed, carried, and formed us through every step of this journey.
Keep Your name upon our lives. Make our words truthful, our obedience wholehearted, and our fellowship a song of Your grace.
Wherever You lead next, give us faith to follow until surrender becomes sight and Your redeemed people stand with You in joy. Amen.
