Make Disciples

The Great Commission begins with worship mingled with doubt. Jesus entrusts His mission to imperfect disciples whose confidence rests not in themselves but in His authority.

‘All authority’ belongs to the crucified and risen Christ. The church therefore goes neither timidly nor coercively, but under the reign of the One whose power is self-giving love.

The command is to make disciples, not merely secure moments of interest. Evangelism invites people into a lifelong apprenticeship of belonging to and obeying Jesus.

Baptism names the new allegiance and welcomes believers into the Triune name and visible community. Disciples are not made into isolated consumers of spiritual content.

Teaching aims at observance. Christian formation includes understanding, but it matures as Jesus’ words become practiced habits of love, holiness, prayer, mercy, and witness.

All nations stretches the church beyond cultural comfort. We cross boundaries with humility, refusing to confuse the gospel with our preferences or use mission to dominate those we serve.

The promise sustains the command: ‘I am with you always.’ Christ’s presence accompanies ordinary conversations, patient mentoring, family faithfulness, church teaching, and distant mission.

You need not complete another person’s formation. Go with the next faithful invitation, teach what Christ has given, and trust the present Lord to make disciples through His people.
