Called and Surrendered
You heard Christ’s call to leave lesser masters and place your whole life beneath His gracious lordship.

Walking with Christ · Volume II in Summary
IIThe Narrow Way · Featuring conversations with Dietrich Bonhoeffer
The journey you have completed
This journey began with the call of Jesus and moved from surrender into the hidden life, from the hidden life into Christian fellowship, and from fellowship into mission. The narrow way has shown itself not as a path of spiritual achievement, but as the daily freedom of belonging to Christ.
The biblical and thematic arc
You heard Christ’s call to leave lesser masters and place your whole life beneath His gracious lordship.
You entered prayer, Scripture, confession, contentment, and faithfulness before the Father who sees in secret.
You practiced listening, forgiveness, burden-bearing, welcome, communion, and mutual service.
You followed Jesus outward in mercy, truth, enemy-love, witness, and disciple-making.
The heart’s movement
01Called by grace
02Surrendered in secret
03Joined in fellowship
04Sent in love
The quiet evidence of growth
The narrow way has not made life smaller. It has gathered the scattered life around one living center: Jesus Christ. His grace calls, His presence sustains, His people accompany, and His mission gives direction.
The fruit of this volume is a discipleship that can be seen in ordinary faithfulness—in promises kept, burdens shared, prayers offered unseen, truth spoken gently, and love given without applause.
A Prayer of Thanksgiving
Lord Jesus, You called me before I knew how to follow. Thank You for every grace that has taught my feet Your way.
Make my obedience joyful, my hidden life true, my fellowship generous, and my witness courageous. Keep me near Your cross and among Your people.
Send me into the world as one who belongs wholly to You. Amen.
